Your Perfect Pocket Monster Legends: Z-A Mega Evolution Based on Your Astrological Sign
The return of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense enthusiasm across the fandom. From the gradual unveiling of newcomers ahead of the game's release, to trainers forming firm opinions on the entire roster of new Megas, there's plenty for fans to look forward to.
With many of the Mega Evolutions showcasing distinctive designs that highlight their traits, one thought naturally: What's the best way to link this with astrology? The following is based on a blend of vibes, common zodiac traits, and personal experience.
Aries – Mega Camerupt
To be truthful, Houndour's evolution was almost chosen for this fire sign, as they are the Mega Pokémon and zodiac symbol that evoke the most fear. However, a Mega Houndoom comes across as always furious, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, renowned for being fun, light-hearted, and impulsive. This makes Aries far more akin to Mega Camerupt, which solely spews lava when angered. Stay on the friendly side of either and enjoy a powerful partner; should you offend them, be ready to face the consequences.
Taurus – Super Heracross
Much like a devoted Bull, the steadfast Heracross species, whether in its standard and Super Form, has aided many trainers in Legends: Z-A. Though trustworthy, both the Pokémon and a Bull are also battle-oriented, and – whether it's their trainer or a strong opinion – will stand up for their position to the end. The thing about Super Heracross that recalls most of my Bull-sign companions, however, is its unashamed love of treats. Several past Pokédex entries mention their fondness for tasty tree sap and how it employs its horn to collect it everything, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.
The Twins – Super Medicham
Observe this total queen. It's impossible to convince me this creature is not the soul of any gathering, offering an endless stream of gossip to anyone who wish to hear. Much like an captivating, gregarious Twins, it's very easy to imagine Super Medicham mesmerizing an whole Wild Zone with their stories. Medicham’s official description also mentions its ability to predict an opponent's future actions, which seems quite similar to a socially-savvy Twins.
The Crab – Super Manectric
Cancer is commonly regarded as the most emotional member of the zodiac, a passionate symbol famous for frequently getting wrapped up in their emotions. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution charges the creature with a “tremendous quantity of energy, but it's excessive for this Pokémon to completely manage,” which seems a lot like a classic Cancer emotional outburst. This Pokémon is also known for its capability to create a storm cloud over its own self – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is likely to do, it’s spoil their good time.
Leo – Super Starmie
Oh, did you assume I was planning to select the lion Pokémon for the lion of the zodiac? Aside from the fact that it would be far too obvious, Leo is obviously Mega Starmie, the diva whose gams just became an internet sensation for being too glamorous (or terrifying, based on your taste). Fans couldn’t look away from the purple starfish, and that’s exactly the same energy a Leo brings to the table. This Pokémon is also rumored to be broadcasting radio waves from its center out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Lion to be putting on a performance, even if for aliens.
Virgo – Super Victreebel
The ever-prepared and perpetually-anxious Virgo is perfectly represented in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with constant digestive issues. The sign famous for being charmingly critical is clearly mirrored throughout this creature's entire lineage, from a perpetually surprised expression like a Virgo when you tell them you lack a retirement plan, to its upside-down face that’s just like the emoji a Maiden posts to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” instead of making a plan.
The Scales – Super Audino
Observe this gentle, empathetic creature, who uses the feelers on its auditory organs to tell how people are feeling by their pulse. Consistently compassionate – occasionally to a fault – and trying to maintain the harmony, there are many Scales who would probably appreciate Super Audino's skills. However, let’s be honest, it would probably just make them stress more about everyone else.
Scorpio – Mega Banette
Banette is a Pokémon with a unexpectedly sad backstory: Discarded as a toy, it became sentient through pure resentment and swore retribution on its former owner. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That sounds precisely like many conversations I’ve had with my intense Scorpion acquaintances. A Scorpion loves cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the ideal pair with Super Banette.
Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha
Both Super Hawlucha and Archers are always putting on a show. Being a Sagittarius personally, the amount of occasions I’ve called myself some version of a “silly small entertainer” is innumerable. The showiest and most obnoxious Super Form, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “flexes to display its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Archer match I can imagine.
The Goat – Super Absol
Did you know that a Super Absol has the power to predict disasters in advance? That exudes the exact same vibe as a Goat, who often always believe they’re right. Interestingly, similar to a visionary Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute first Super Form that trainers encounter in Legends: Z-A – just like a Goat to get in on the beginning of the Super Form craze.
The Water Bearer – Super Chandelure
Aloof air sign Aquarius is possibly the non-fire sign that is most like a flame symbol – its sister sign is Leo, and there are countless memes about the Archer and Water Bearer being unpredictable accomplices. Super Chandelure's double Ghost/Fire typing matches perfectly with this, and the Super Form's overall daunting aura is also very Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet persuaded, the Super Form's Pokédex entry says it “absorbs negative energy and converts it into strength.” If that doesn’t exactly {encaps
